Thank You Lord, for the freshness of spring,

And all the reminders of You that it brings.



The flowers escaping from sleep in the earth,

Remind us of how You give us new birth.



The robins and sparrows singing their songs,

Remind us to praise You all the day long.



The showers of rain, and their gentle descent,

Remind us Your Spirit, as promised, You sent.



Emerging buds on the once dormant trees,

Remind us of life that springs forth from Thee.



And so Lord, we thank You, for all that is spring;

The new life You give, compels us to sing.
